Summer Camp 2024 Details

Dear Members

I would like to confirm that the Knockin & Kinnerley Summer Camp 2024 will run from 12-16th of August.

Activity sessions will start from 09:30 and finish at 15:30 hrs, with early drop off at 08:30 and late pick-up at 16:30 hrs.

Based on previous years where feedback indicated that there was not enough cricket-oriented activities, we will continue to split into three groups "bucket"; namely, juniors, intermediate and senior, with more coaching resources to enable us to facilitate this.

Groups "buckets" should break down as follows:

Juniors:

Typically, ages 6-7 years old. Mainly sports games with about 25% soft ball cricket content.

Intermediate:

Typically, ages 8-10 years old. Mainly sports games with about 50% soft ball cricket content (with an introduction to hard ball as appropriate).

Seniors:

Typically ages 11-13 years old. Sport games and afternoon sessions playing hard ball cricket, hopefully 75% cricket orientated.

Generally, children will break out into groups of 20, to ensure better safeguarding and allow our coaches a greater opportunity to interact individually.

Please purchase the appropriate pass for your child from the club shop here.

Weekly pass cost: £150.00, sibling weekly pass cost: £112.50 (£150 less 25%)

Daily pass cost: £35.00, sibling daily pass cost: £26.25 (£35 less 25%)

As above, should you wish to purchase for a sibling, then there is a 25% discount available, but you must purchase a primary pass first followed by the additional sibling pass.

Note:

When booking siblings, or when booking day passes, you will need to email me at bbem2005@hotmail.com, or call on 07375 511669, in order for me to ensure your child(ren) is slotted into appropriate age groups and so I know what days you wish your child(ren) to attend.

In an ideal world, I am hoping that our three "buckets” of 20 fills up equally. However, if we find that one bucket, say “Juniors”, is filling up disproportionately, then I will have to “turn off” that group, in favour of filling up the older groups. I am also aware that age may not be the most appropriate signifier of ability, but we must start somewhere. Similarly, less able children may find they flourish and develop better among a younger age group. Our ultimate goal is to ensure that the children enjoy themselves in a safe environment.

The mornings sessions will again be split into groups and each group will take it in turns to engage with circus training, children’s entertainer, and exotic pets.

Please go ahead and purchase your passes as soon as possible.

As usual any feedback is always appreciated as it allows to continue to provide an excellent experience. Once I have a confirmed list of attendees then I will be back in touch to those who have signed up.

Many thanks

Brian Morrow.
